Elsie Boateng
Executive Director
Ms Elsie Boateng is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and community development. She attended Mfantsiman Girls’ High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana. In 2008, she received the Loughborough Development Trust Scholarship, which enabled her to complete an MSc in Finance and Management at Loughborough University. She worked with Zenith Bank Ghana Limited for nineteen years until her resignation in July 2025. Driven by her commitment to addressing issues affecting women and girls, she founded The Woman Called She (TWCS) in 2020. Since its inception, TWCS has implemented impactful social interventions across Ghana, including the flagship Think Before You Click programme, which has empowered over 7,000 girls nationwide. Beyond her advocacy work, Ms Boateng is an avid reader, keen writer, and fitness enthusiast.
Cynthia Kpeem
Programmes Manager
W011 Kpeem is a soldier with twenty years of experience in the Ghana Armed Forces. She has been on tours with UNIFIL GHANBATT85 and GHANBATT 89 . She is a french language tutor and passionate about the empowerment of girls and women. She is the founder of the Confident Beginners Language Hub (CBLH).
George Addo Jnr

George Addo jnr is an accomplished broadcast journalist with a remarkable career in sports broadcasting. After a decade at the Multimedia Group Limited, George joined the BBC in Salford as a football reporter in 2023. He is a regular voice on BBC Sports Today program which is the most listened Morning World show. George is passionate about charity work and is the founder of the SCLAN music foundation.
